Hi! I'm Harun Basmacı, a fourth-year physics engineering student at Ankara University (AU) and formerly a visiting researcher at Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH).
At AU, under the supervision of Dr. H. Özgür Çıldıroğlu, my academic focus is on quantum field theory, with particular interest in quantum anomalies and their topological origins. I have also worked on quantum implementations of classical encryption algorithms, with emphasis on Feistel-structured block ciphers.
At USACH, I was working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Correa Santander, studying dimensionally truncated Bañados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) black holes as solutions to Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) gravity and learning about the mathematical structure of JT gravity, including solitonic solutions and spacetime symmetries.
